David Patrick Gribble

We are heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of David Patrick Gribble on December 3, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. Dave was 76 years old. Dave leaves behind his loving wife Diane (Slumskie), his son Jeff, his daughter Kim (Chris) and his grandchildren Avery and Finn. Dave is predeceased by his parents Leonard and Kathleen. His loss will be mourned by his brother Don (Jane). Dave will be missed greatly by all of his extended family and friends.

Dave and Diane made their home in Kincardine for over 45 years. As a first responder, Dave touched thousands of lives during the course of his employment as a paramedic. In his own quiet way, Dave was always extremely proud of his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he loved every opportunity to watch them play sports and never hesitated to share their accomplishments with anyone who would listen. His love of history, puzzles, and terrible jokes will live on in his family’s legacy. Dave will always be remembered for his humour, kindness, and willingness to help others.

The family asks for your thoughts and prayers as they grieve this loss privately at this time. Dave will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Ainsdale Golf Course, 2264 Huron Township Concession 12, Kincardine. Words of Remembrance will be held from 2:00pm - 2:30pm. 

The family is grateful for the incredible support shown by his doctors and his caregivers at the hospice. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks for donations to be made to Tiverton Park Manor Hospice.
