Elisabeth Jane (Prohaska) Whitfield

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Jane passed away peacefully at her home in Owen Sound, with family by her side. 

Loving mother of Michelle and Heather Briggs. Dear Grandmother of John and Joey Long, and Aaron, Alex, and Andrew Barber. Cherished sister to her brother John (Rosemary), twin brother David (Janet) and sister Cathy (Mike) Arseneau. 

Jane will be remembered by all who knew her as a kind, generous and loving person devoted to both family and friends. 

As per Jane’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. 

Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Safe n Sound Grey Bruce or to your favorite charity.
